I took almost five years off between closing my design business in San Francisco and opening in Alexandria, Virginia. Looking through my old photos to choose some for this website, I noticed trends, which have led to some of the posts that will come later: pink bedrooms, keyhole continuity, art driving more interesting color palettes, built-ins.

My life has changed beyond just living on a different coast. My kids are older, I even have a different dog. And as life has moved forward, my design philosophy and thoughts about new beginnings have evolved.

This space will be where I talk to you about trends I’m excited about, rabbit holes I am diving down, and just general bits and pieces that strike my fancy. I’m linking through to Instagram, too, which will help, I hope, make this a dynamic design lab experience for all of us.
